The Pro Bono Publico Foundation (“Foundation”) welcomes applications for grants and generally awards grants once each year. The application deadline for the annual grant cycle is June 30th, with grant announcements to be made before year’s end, generally in November.

To simplify the application process, the Foundation will use the Common Application Form and Grant Proposal Format prepared by the Southern Louisiana Grantmakers (click to download this page and Common Application Materials). This format and form are accepted by many foundations and corporations currently making grants in our area.

In an effort to make the application process more efficient the Foundation has implemented a two-stage review of applications:

Please note that all applications should be submitted electronically. PDFs should be emailed to manager@probonopublicofoundation.org.

First Review (Submission deadline June 30): Applicants are invited to submit the first two items on the Application Check List:

  1. Narrative as outlined in Southern Grantmakers Common Application Form (no more than 3 pages).
  2. Grant Proposal Summary Sheet (page five of the Southern Louisiana Grantmakers Common Application Form).

Second Review (Submission deadline October 1): Applicants for grants selected for further consideration after initial review will be notified by September 1 and asked to submit the balance of materials listed in the “Application Check List.” Deadline for that final submission is October 1. Successful applicants will be notified before the end of the calendar year.
